pros: i like the mic. does good.

zone 2 type connections

cons: require a seperate amp to power the pre out speakers like the front height or surround back
the surround features you ultimately choose for the certain input dont auto save. you need to switch back to the surround mode you want each time you start up that input
when changing the speaker level, it blares the sound before you choose volume you want from that speaker
cant rename inputs

Best Price Yamaha YHT-S400BL Home Theater System for Sale Black Friday Sale Free Shipping !!! : If you are looking to boost your audio experience (or merely enhance the sound from your lousy TV speakers) with minimal wiring and with no need for more equipment, than the is a product to suit your needs. If you wish the surround sound experience, don’t find sound bars.

My requirements were economical solution, low profile sound bar, minimal equipment, minimal wiring, and HDMI connectivity. I checked the Yamaha YAS-101BL sound bar also since it is well reviewed. I ruled it given it did not have HDMI connectivity, but it surely definitely has some nice features.

Why the advantages of HDMI connectivity? On my TV, only work with an optical cable for connecting the telly audio towards the receiver/subwoofer, and I connect HDMI devices towards TV, then 2CH audio only will likely be delivered to the receiver/sound bar. The receiver wouldn’t contain the information you need to widen the audio or simulate multichannel audio because of the downsampling. Basically, I’d not necessarily gain much using this or any sound bar employing an optical connection and connecting HDMI devices for the TV.

The internet about the optical connection and downsampling to 2CH audio is my TV user manual. I strongly encourage anyone to look at your TV’s user manual to determine in case your TV does exactly the same thing. Using the HDMI connectivity for the receiver/subwoofer, the downsampling to 2CH audio isn’t a worry when connecting HDMI devices towards receiver and then connecting the receiver via HDMI for the TV. Since all my components are HDMI, HDMI connectivity is very important to make certain good audio output with the components given the downsampling issue.

Some tips i like:

1. Low profile sound bar. They can fit perfectly underneath my TV together with the feet installed and appears as it belongs using the TV.
2. Fairly good sound coming from this type of small sound bar. Initially,I’m slightly interested in the little speaker having the ability to make a good sound, nonetheless it does deliver. It adds depth and widens the audio
3. Super easy setup. No need to reference the setup guide as setup is rather easy. The speaker cable together with the speaker connections about the sound bar and receiver are color coded. Connectivity was obviously a snap.
4. Easy configuration with the receiver
5. HDMI-CEC partially works. I’m able to control the receiver volume with my DVR remote. Whenever i power off the TV, the receiver also powers off. My only issue is after i power on my TV the receiver doesn’t power up. I need to investigate this trouble further
6. With my setup, in the event the receiver will not be on, I am audio from your TV speakers. When I power for the receiver, and choose the proper input, I receive audio through the sound bar. You should not manually set internal or external speaker settings. That is nice for others at my household who prefer never to wreak havoc on the receiver.

Some tips i despise:
1. The receiver/subwoofer is bigger than I pictured. The dimensions listed are accurate, but I pictured it being smaller. You need to make sure you have space for the receiver. I would add 4″ on the depth to account for the HDMI cabling if you intend make use of HDMI connectivity.
2. Audio downsampling will not be mentioned while in the Yahama literature. I realize that is specific to particular TVs and certain configurations, but it’s important enough to warrant a mention from the manual while it could adversely affect the audio experience.
3. As I mentioned previously, the receiver/subwoofer will not power lets start on my TV

I’m not really a gamer, and i also have no 3D components so I cannot comment on those elements of the product.

I love my new kindle. I purchased one for myself the other for my boyfriend. The two of us love them. Prior, the two of us had basic android tablets by polaroid (who knew!?) With soft ice cream sammich. They worked fine devoid of lag but I took them back with the fire. I’m glad Used to do. The fire is quite seamless just like the iPad. However… it’s actually not an iPad. It does not have a very camera, no GPS/location svcs (fb checkins, etc.), even though the app store stands out as the largest around… still isn’t the apple or google play store. I wish Sony would put the app on the website to manage my smart Tv like my phone is capable of doing! The app store is stuffed with games I wouldn’t cherish, Along with the POPULAR apps entirely on both apple and tootle products. I.e. netflix, redbox, banking apps, twitter, fb, angry birds, grindr, news apps, etc. Id perform 5 stars when it were a little bit closer to an authentic droid but I give it an extremely solid 4 since it is for me the most effective Droid sub.. I additionally think its as good as the nook because of the storage and hour the kindle made it happen over the nook.Well-built, seamless —no freezes!, good choice of accessorie alsos, good size, simple to operate.
